About Project

Every year over 7 million tons of seashells are discarded through the seafood and aquaculture industries.

Thrown away in an unclean or rotten state, the seashells pile up on beaches, causing odor pollution and pollution of the surrounding land. After collecting discarded seashells from aquafarms and restaurants, they are ground and mixed with other materials such as sand, mineral soil and natural binders, under the right proportions, to create ‘Sea Stone’, a material similar in texture and shape to natural stone.

The production process does not use a lot of energy and the eco-friendly material is compostable, meaning products can return to nature at the end of its life cycle.

Sea Stone is used in designing interior decor such as decorative tiles and vases.

It is non-toxic and each piece has its own unique shape, giving each product rarity.

By using discarded seashells to design new products that are aesthetic and functional, Sea Stone creates a positive impact by reducing waste disposal costs and preventing marine pollution.
