Dooziba

About Project

Iranian social enterprise Dooziba develops hand-embroidered products to provide local artisans, especially women, the opportunity to become economically self-reliant.

They have designed over 100 different unique embroidery patterns and released hand-embroidered product collections including cushions, bedding, clothes and more.

The hand-embroidered products made by local artisans use 100% natural materials such as cotton and wool, and reuse textile waste.

In addition to product design, Dooziba helps craftswomen work in safe environments with fair treatment, and advocate for women’s rights to lead the way for gender equality.

They teach embroidery for free and create jobs to allow women in rural areas escape poverty.

Selling embroidered products to more than 20 countries around the world, Dooziba helped to revive the beautiful traditional hand-embroidery techniques that almost disappeared and contributed to solving poverty in the local community.
