About Project

770 million people on Earth do not have access to clean drinking water.

To solve this problem, Blue Greece has developed a seawater desalination device that utilizes abundant seawater to provide drinking water.

By providing Open Source design solutions, residents, communities and Makerspaces in water-deprived regions can manufacture the device themselves, and the relevant technicians or users can adapt and improve the design according to their needs.

The modular design approach allows easy application, such as changing the materials or repurposing the product to suit local conditions, and the simplicity to repair and reuse ensures a long product life cycle.

Using solar power as an energy source means it can also be used in regions where there is no electricity supply.

Librewater contributes towards addressing social imbalances by increasing access to clean drinking water for residents living in areas alienated from capital and technology.
