About Project
Lensen is a drawing kit created through the partnership of Thai eco-friendly product design brand Qualy and social enterprise Klongdisor, which develops teaching aids for children in need.
When a picture is drawn with the specialist pen that holds yarn, the yarn sticks to the velcro fabric, allowing the user to touch and feel it with their hands.
The yarn that has stuck to the fabric can be moved and modified or removed completely to be re-drawn.
Universal design principles have been applied by using yarn of bright and vivid colors in consideration of children with low vision.
The product can be reused by changing the yarn into different types and colors, and the absence of advanced technology allows a low price point.
The body of the pen is made from recycled plastic, and the product and packaging is 100% recyclable.
Lensen can be used not only for art, but also other lessons that require imagery such as maths, science, geography and so on.
Through their donation campaign to schools for the blind, Lensen is engaging individuals and companies to contribute towards making life better for those with visual disabilities.
